Catching up

Boy, do I hate the flu. After Meaghan & Margaret caught what I thought were bad colds, I came down with it. No wonder they were miserable! It took me two weeks to fully recover (I finally felt normal this weekend) and we're still playing catch up. Sean did a great job nursing me and keeping the kids fed/clothed, but the house suffered.

Meanwhile, my Buzzbomb is turning 4 on Sunday! We're planning a family gathering to celebrate on Sunday and I'll bring in goodies to her preschool class on Monday. I'm taking the KISS approach while I still can! I had to laugh, I asked her today what she'd like for her birthday dinner. Her reply? "Indian food!" I don't think she touched the last Indian meal I cooked, but it was for Sean's birthday. Perhaps that's why she wants it also.

I took Mary in for a bang trim this Sunday and she decided to get all of her hair cut. Her hair is back to chin length. I love it at this length! She even asked about before/after photos. Didn't have the camera with me at the salon, so we'll have to settle for after photos. (Soon.)

We're getting more work done on our yard this week, including some bushes to give us privacy that we lost when the diseased tree was taken down. Right now, the side of our house is bare of plants. I'm looking forward to seeing greenery in the beds.
