Lemme sum up

I just put Meaghan down for the second time, so need to get this update in quick before I turn in myself!

I'm finally back online, it took a few days to get the cable internet working. Turns out one outlet was unplugged at the box and the other two needed some hard wiring repair.

So let me explain. No, that would take too long. Lemme sum up:

Good News
~We're happily residing at Rellen Court (we moved in on Monday).
~The new carpet is wonderful.
~The bamboo flooring is mostly done.
~Mary successfully started 3rd grade and is quite happy with her teacher, Mrs. Martell. Said Mary after her first day, "She's cool!"
~I'm taking delivery of our baggage shipment tomorrow, which is full of most of our kitchen stuff
~I love being so close to my parents and sister/BIL! They've been a big help, lending us chairs and a table as well as eating utensils so we don't have to live on paper plates.

Bad News
~The movers won't be bringing our big shipment (furniture) for another week. Thank goodness for the perspective gained from my 3 years in Asia, I am pleasantly surprised at how little I mind sitting primarily on the floors.
~The bamboo flooring has a disturbing variation in finish, meaning some of the planks are shiny and others are dull. I'll post a photo to show you what I mean.
~The back door replacement estimate is still be worked up (one of the two contractors came by on Tuesday). Looks like it will be pricey and take a minimum two weeks.
~The tires on the Camry are about to go due to wear, good thing Sean doesn't need to report to work right away.
~Tricare Prime has made it about as painful as it could be to get enrolled in this region so we can get Margaret a physical for preschool. The earliest appointment we could get is for 18 September, I can only hope the preschool will let her attend with an appointment scheduled.
