Pass the bon-bons
The rest of this week got busy all of sudden!
- WED - Register Mary at school, give deposit & key to carpet installer, pick up Sienna
- THU - Installer starts work on bamboo floors, gas company turns on gas, move girls & stuff to Chesapeake in PM
- FRI - Installer starts work on carpet(!), movers bring our baggage shipment (kitchen stuff and other small items, no big furniture)
Phew. Drove the Honday Odyssey last night - what a sweet ride! There are some things I like better about the Honda. It handles a little better, both steering and brakes. A really cool lazy susan storage bin. Bottom line, though, is both the Honda & Toyota are excellent minivans. It really came down to minor stuff and that's a nice position to be in. At least, that's what I kept telling myself as I agonized over which one to buy. Just ask Sean. The Toyota ended up ahead because of a slightly better deal and the dealership being closer to our house.
The carpet installer is doing everything he can to get our floors done this week! It's all dependent on how quickly the supplies get here, of course. If they arrive as he expects, the floor will get done on Thursday and the carpet on Friday.
Making good progress on the preschool front for Margaret. The preschool Mary attended closed up a few years ago when the Director retired. The church it was housed in is reopening the preschool this Fall. So, I'm checking into it. Looks like a good program and the staff person was telling me the rooms are recently renovated.
That leaves shopping for furniture - bunk beds for the girls and a kitchen table. Found a store on Ebay that sells bunk beds for a very reasonable price. Shipping pretty reasonable too, I keep looking for the catch! I also need to look into Direct Buy as well, just have to turn our membership back on.
Pass the chocolate, please!
