Moving along

Well, the flooring job is slow going. Still waiting for an estimate. I just spoke with Jim and he's going to call me back in a few hours with both price and timelines.

At this point, I'm planning to move into the house by this weekend regardless of the floor status. Mary starts school on Tuesday and I do not want to commute from Moyock! I'm planning to take delivery of our express baggage shipment, which is mostly kitchen items, linens and baby stuff. Between those items and air mattresses, we should be able to camp out. Depending on how quickly the floor supplies arrive, I may take delivery of the big shipment as well. I'm not going to put my life on hold for weeks.

Went minivan-shopping on Saturday, the Toyota Sienna is a strong front-runner. The dealership right up the road from us is willing to sell me one at invoice. The added bonus is they have a new program where you get free state inspections and oil changes for life if you buy from them. Toyota is also offering 2.9% financing, so it's a pretty hard deal to beat. I am going to test-drive the Honda Odyssey this week to be absolutely sure. But, I fully expect to be driving the Sienna by the end of the week.

Off to set up utilities. Gotta get the gas turned on so we can have hot water!
