Adequate lodging

We safely arrived at the Renaissance Ilikai and got checked in after just a few hours' wait (we got to the hotel around 9 am). Beds are great, the room also has a kitchen for kiddy munchies. A balcony as well, it's got an "adequate" view. Did I mention it was facing westward?

We took a big nap after we got settled in the hotel room yesterday, so we only had time for dinner - went to Kiko's on a friend's recommendation for some fabulous Thai. A great way to start our visit!

Not sure what we're going to do today, time to dive into the guide book and make some decisions. Beach? Pool? Explore? Honolulu awaits!

Despite never having been in Hawaii before, it feels fabulous to be on "home" soil again! I'm just about giddy and have been chatting it up with just about every person I come across.Posted by Picasa

Oh, just look at that, would you. Makes me homesick. Enjoy your time there. It really is a slice of heaven.
