I survived!
The apartment is much more empty now! The movers came and packed up our big furniture. All 12 crates worth. It's a 2-day job, which they tried to do in one day.
It was a PITA, they were here until 9:30 p.m. on Monday, which meant we had to get a hotel room so the girls could get a decent night's rest. The movers also tried to take some of my stuff loose to crate up "later." Um, no! Had to call the gov't inspector to get it straightened out - they ended up coming back on Tuesday morning to get the last of it. Took all of an hour. Then I cleaned like crazy (I hate dust bunnies!) then took delivery on the Army loaner furniture in the afternoon. I'm still exhuasted from all the stress and running around. Plan to ask the Housing Office about getting reimbursed for the hotel room. It's a long shot, but I want to ask on principle if nothing else.So last night, I fall into bed. Meaghan decided to wake up twice - once an hour after I turned in and then again a few hours later. That time, she wanted no parts of her crib so I ended up bringing her to bed with us. *yawn*
Is it August yet?
