The computer whiz

About a month or two ago, Margaret expressed interest in playing her own computer game. We loaded Jump Start Baby, which is a game that you navigate by pressing any key. No mouse skills required. She loved being in the "driver's seat" of the computer, I think.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, Margaret is asking for a different game. She sees Mary playing Winnie The Pooh for Preschoolers (Mary likes to revisit her old favorites) and asks to play. She struggles with the mouse, but enjoys the change of scenery.

Today, I overheard her and Sean working together on the computer. She got tired of Jump Start Baby and asked Sean to play the Pooh game. While Sean was taking the one CD out of the computer, she was leafing through the CD case and locating the Pooh CD. She placed it in the disc drive, and Sean launched the program. "I got it," she told Sean. And, she did. Completely unassisted, she's navigating between the activities with a click of the mouse.

I give her a month before she's showing me how to update my website.
