Highlights ~ Hong Kong! We went on an MWR trip for four days last weekend, what fun! A really neat city to visit, we hope to get back someday since we only had 3 days to explore. Two other families that we know were on the trip, so the kids had a blast hanging out with their friends, which made the bus rides more enjoyable for us parents, too. The 2nd day was Disneyland, which the kids loved. I took a ton on photos, which you can view at Ofoto.com here.
Riding a small boat to the world's largest floating restaurant, Jumbo (first night)
Look Ma, we're on Dumbo! (2nd day)
Mary rededicated herself as a Brownie earlier in the month, it's her 2nd year! I'm helping co-lead the troop, which is fun and a lot of work, too. Mary got her first Second grade report card this month too, she's doing well in school. Struggling a little bit with Math, mostly because she's not excelling on the first try. Guess she's a perfectionist. She had an eye checkup this week, her eye drift is much-improved. We got a new Rx for her glasses, which she'll only need for close work now. She's very excited to get her new glasses later this week. Especially because the new pair has a nose rest just like her best friend Billy's pair. (Yes, he's a boy and no, Sean is not happy about that.)
Margaret is talking up a storm. Getting comments all the time now about her articulation. Following closely in her sister's footsteps. Her hair is growing quickly, too. Getting thicker and longer ~ making up for lost time.
Meaghan is loving solid foods! She gets quite upset if we don't share food we're eating. Forget jarred baby food ~ if there is food on someone's plate, that's what she wants. Sean weighed her on the bathroom scale today ~ 18.5 pounds! Had to switch out clothes today for her, she's now wearing the 12-18 month size.
We're having a total of 12 adults at our table on Thursday for Turkey day. Continuing the long-standing tradition of feeding holiday meals to folks away from their families. We might actually have to set up a kids' table for the little ones. My biggest challenge is going to be figuring out how to stage the use of my oven...I can fit the turkey in it, but just barely! So, stuffing, pies and other casseroles will have to be baked sequentially.
Phew! Guess that's what I get for falling behind. Hope the Hong Kong photos will keep you happy for a bit.
