I met with Mary's guidance counselor on Thursday and she helped me figure out what exactly is bothering me about Mary's teacher (Ms. K). Next step is to meet with Ms. K to try and address them directly. BLECH. Needless to say, I'm not looking forward to it, but it has to be done. Main points I'll be covering: we feel disconnected from Ms. K and teaching process, ask her for a better partnership in educating Mary and finally, ask Ms. K how she visualizes her role as a teacher. If we aren't satisfied with the answers give my Ms. K or feel they are inappropriate, the next step is to go to the Assistant Principal. I can only hope we don't have to take that step!

On to more fun topics. Friday was the Navy Birthday Ball! We had a blast. Our table had so much fun, we're planning to do it again (without the fancy clothes) in a few weeks. Any excuse for more wine and good food, right? Anyway, here are some photos:
