Well, if there was any doubt about Meaghan's desire to eat solids, it was erased last night at dinner. She put away half a banana and a huge chunk of avacado! I cut them into small pieces and she methodically picked them up and shoved them in her mouth as best as she could (I did have to help her a bit).

She is following in Margaret's footsteps, quickly losing interest in the jarred baby food and wanting to eat "real" food like us.

She is so cute! All of them are! I was surprised to read you used any purchased baby food at all...I don't know why, I just was. Do you have a baby food grinder? That is what I used for the kids. You put the food in it, put the crank on and turn and push down, and voila, instant baby food. Mine always ate whatever we did. Never had to spend money on baby food....I think it is called Happy baby food grinder. You might get one pretty cheap( $5) on ebay...
