Last week flew by, Mary participated in Vacation Bible School on post. Or rather, Mary and I! They had childcare for volunteers available, so Margaret & Meaghan got to play in Ms. Kim's room and I floated around and helped out where needed. The program was called Serengeti Trek which Mary enjoyed tremendously (lots of animals).
Thursday night, Margaret developed a fever that had her up several times through the night. So, only Mary went in to VBS on Friday. Thankfully, the illness was shortlived, by Saturday Margaret was back to her normal self. Unfortunately, the virus moved along to Meaghan who had a fever Saturday & Sunday. Today she's on the mend, though she's still sporting a stuffy nose. Not a problem when she's awake, but it definitely interferes with her ability to sleep (i.e., suck her thumb).
Next weekend, Sean departs for 2 weeks for a big exercise. We're planning to head to the beach for part of the week, a last hurrah before school starts on 30 August! My eldest will be starting 2nd grade, can you imagine? We bought school supplies on Thursday. Yesterday, she asked how many days were left before school started. I think she's looking forward to it.

Oh, Jen, that is SO funny! Jeremiah was teaching at VBS this year, and we also used Seregeti Trek! He bought a hat and tshirt and was one of the guides! He loved it, and I hope you and Mary did too.
