We went on our first family outing today (since Meaghan's arrival). We all piled into the car and headed to the base for a few errands. Managed to get most of them done, feed ourselves lunch AND return home safely. With the same kids we left with, as Sean was quick to point out.
Our latest challenge is to tackle the bureaucratic process involved with documenting Meaghan's citizenship through the US Embassy in Seoul & getting her a passport. We're supposed to get a passport within 30 days in order to get a Visa from Korea (HA!), but we also need the passport in time for our planned trip in June. Should be interesting getting her citizenship recorded since the process usually involves a hospital birth certificate as "evidence of birth." I called the US Embassy here in Seoul to find out how a homebirth is handled, and the clerk who answered the phone had no idea. She suggested we head down to the Embassy to figure it out. Should be an interesting visit!

Keep me posted on this, if you will. I am very curious as to how this is handled...just in case I get calls from your friends there! Have kit, will travel! Love, Cathi
