Well, I'm officially inprocessed with the OB clinic at the hospital. Attended a 3 hour(!) brief yesterday that involved an hour of paperwork and several presentations on the various services available to new parents. Good info for first-time parents, but most of it was old news to me. Did get a few tidbits, and thankfully I brought a book to keep me sane.
The good news is, one of the presenters was Major Rounds, a newly-arrived CNM to the hospital staff. Cool! As luck would have it, she is who I'm scheduled to see at my next prenatal appt. later this month. So, we'll see just which end of the spectrum she leans towards (between the midwifery & techno-medical model of care). I'll give you three guesses which end I favor.
Not much else going on of late. Mary starts school at the end of this month! Bought her school supplies last weekend, the list was blessedly short. Sean is looking into the kids recreational soccer program. They are looking for players and coaches, so Sean is considering volunteering so he and Mary can enjoy some Dad/Daughter time. The season only runs about 8 weeks with games on Saturdays, so nothing too elaborate.
