Well, DH talked to his detailer and we've got a pretty good idea of where we're headed next. The bad news is it's not the states - probably Seoul, Korea. The good news is - it's shore duty! As hard as it will be to continue to live so far away from family, we both feel strongly this is the right decision for us. We've been apart so much the last few years, I relish the though of him being home (most nights) for 2 solid years.
The detailer has to work out a lot of details before we get final orders, but Sean thinks he'll be detatched from his current job the end of March. We're hoping he can report to Korea in May, which would give us the month of April to pack-out, go back to the states for a visit and move-in. It's a relief to know something after all these months.
Meanwhile, Sean is in Korea for the next week for work. We've checked into base housing, looks like the current wait list is between 2-3 months. So, we are hopeful we'll be able to live on base. They are townhouses and look very updated both inside and out. Here's one picture of the outside and a floor plan of the 1-story unit.
Sean will be back home for basically a weekend before getting underway for the last time. The bad part is he'll be gone right until we're ready to move, leaving the move logisitics in my lap again. *sigh* Can you tell I'm looking forward to it?
