So I'm chatting with Mary's Kindergarten teacher Thursday (who I absolutely love, by the way) and she mentions she lived in Emmitsburg, MD. I say, "Oh, then you've heard of Hood College. That's where I went to school."

"Get out!" she replies, "I got my masters there!"

Long story short, she got her MA in Special Ed, graduating in...1990! It would have been really wacky if she and I had actually had classes together.

This doesn't top a former Hood College President's story of meeting an alum on a hiking path on the Himalayans, but it's pretty darn close! No wonder she's such a wonderful teacher.
