Sean is in Seoul this week and having a blast doing preliminary legwork. He says that I'm just going to love it, I hope he's right! He talked to the Housing folks this week. Apparently if we live off-base, we are required (not sure why) to live in something that is at least 200 sq. ft. bigger than the housing available on base. Between that, Sean getting to see a few different apartments while visiting friends, and a comfortable housing allowance, we're now seriously considering living off-base. He's got an appointment with a realtor on Thursday, so we'll see what happens!
Also found out our furniture will take about 30 days to reach Korea from Japan. This simplifies logistics quite a bit as we won't have to split our stuff between an Express & regular move. This also makes it much easier for me, we are probably going to schedule the pack-out to occur after Sean returns in April, then we can wrap up things here in Yokosuka and head to the states for our visit. By the time we reach Korea, we'll probably have a week or so in a hotel before our furniture arrives and we can get settled. At least, that's the tenative plan!
