Well, we survived the holidays! Had a very quiet New Year's Eve, Sean & I watched "Catch Me If You Can" and listened to the ships blow their horns at midnight. They had fireworks at a park nearby, but unfortunately some buildings blocked our view. The girls slept through all of it.
Mary came down with yet another cold this past weekend, but thankfully she's recovered quickly. Kept her home from school yesterday, but she's there today. Took her to the doctor's yesterday, he diagnosed the immediate problem as a viral cold but also suspects a post-nasal drip due to allergies. (She's had a nagging cough since November). So, he prescribed Zyrtex for that, I'm going to start Mary on it as soon as this cold settles out. The doc said I could start the Zyrtex right away, but I wanted to see her reaction to the Zyrtex without cold meds complicating the picture.
It's a relief to get back to a somewhat normal routine. I know Mary has missed school a lot. The routine doesn't feel completely normal because Sean is home! Trust me, I'm not complaining. I just have to remind myself that even though he's been home just over 3 weeks, it's going to take longer than that to adjust.
