Mary is fully-recovered from her bout with pneumonia. The past few nights, she has stayed awake long after we put her to bed. It dawned on me this evening that she probably doesn't need as much sleep now that she's healthy!

We had a brief parent/teacher conference with Mary's teacher on Monday evening. She's doing great, excelling in most area on her progress report. Here is her teacher's comments:

"Wow! What progress, it's super! (Continue to work with Mary at home.) She shows initiative and self-direction in her learning. She has varied interests and is beginning to share these interests with the class."

Margaret is standing more on her own. About half the time I set her down on her feet, she'll stand without holding on to something. She's also talking more, lots of "mama" and "dada" sounds but no clear indication of labels (yet!).
