Took the cats to the vet today. Rudolph needed some follow-up bloodwork to confirm the medicine is helping his overactive thyroid. He's definitely improved, he's gained weight and the vet didn't hear the heart murmur he noticed at the last visit. We'll know for sure when the bloodwork results come back.

Also took PKers to have her one nail checked. She's now my problem child. Not only is she overweight (she's gained weight just since the last visit - no more treats for her!), but she's got an infection in the nail beds of both her front paws. The vet is doing a culture to determine if it's fungal or bacterial, but he gave me medicine that will cover both. Just what I need, more stress in my life. Hopefully she'll let me put the medicine on by myself. If not, I'll have to see if I can find a neighbor who will take pity on me and help administer the stuff (twice a day, for course).

Meanwhile, I have to figure out how to cut back on PKers food while helping Rudolph eat more. Hmm...
