Where has the week gone? Time flies, especially when Sean is around to spend time with us. We've been making good progress on the apartment, we got Mary's room cleared out so she can actually play in it and we're almost there with our bedroom. You should always be able to play in your bedroom, right? Next stop, Margaret's room.
Margaret is pushing herself to a sitting position on a regular basis now. She also cracked the code on the sippee cup! This is great news since she has been refusing the bottle. I went out for a dinner meeting on Wednesday and Sean offered Margaret some breastmilk in a cup. Once she figured out what was in it, she went to town. I don't go many places without the baby, but it's always nice to have options.
Tomorrow is the 27th annual Mikoshi Parade on base. It's a community event, the base is open to the public and the Mikoshi (portable Shinto shrines that are carried by approximately 50-70 people) are carried from downtown Yokosuka to a large field on base. Here is a big write-up on it, I'm looking forward to the experience. Hopefully my digital camera will cooperate so I can share some pictures.
