Well, the yard sale was a bust - no rugs!

Margaret has been enjoying solids for about two weeks now. She ate for a few days and then appeared to lose interest. Well, I figured out why! She loves to help; if she's not holding the spoon, her mouth is usually closed. So, today I gave her some rice since she seems to want to participate so much. Plopped a tablespoon's worth on her tray and she went to town. A lot of it ended up in her lap and on the floor, but a lot made it to her mouth, too. And talk about focus! Didn't hear a peep out of her for a good 10 minutes. I wanted to take a picture but of course my camera battery was dead. So, I'll share a different feeding photo to show you how much she enjoys participating in her meal!

Mary enjoyed the Tea Party very much, it was actually put together by a 10 year old Girl Scout who was working on a badge. She has a natural affinity for younger girls, it was neat to watch. Went ahead and signed Mary up, all we need is a leader for the troop to start. You'll be proud to know that I did not sign up as a leader! I did offer to help out, but not in a leadership position.
